The position of management committee member is a voluntary one that plays a very important part in the organisation. The committee has two main areas of responsibility:

·         Ensuring that all aspects of the operations of the organisation are carried out legally, ethically; there is an emphasis upon the monitoring of the financial operations.

·         Strategic planning for the future operations of LECNA to ensure that they are aligned with what the community expects from LECNA as described in it’s mission statement.

Committee members make a commitment to attend meetings on the third Thursday of each month (they usually last from 5:30pm-8:30pm), to keep up-to-date of the running of the organisation by reading monthly reports on the operations of various aspects of the organisation prior to the meeting.

LECNA’s last Annual General Meeting was held on 17th October 2019. The 2018-2019 Annual Report is able to be read by downloading the pdf.

In 2016 the LECNA Management Committee commenced a review process to develop a Strategic Plan for the period 2017-2027. A copy of the final plan is available by downloading the pdf file.  The plan is intended to provide a roadmap for the future of LECNA. However, it is a working document, it will be reviewed and where necessary amended on a regular basis by the management committee as they seek to uphold the principles, implement the strategies and achieve the goals that are articulated in it.
